BRIEF, OBJECTIVE & TASK

In the ever-evolving world of stationery, the Geometry Box has emerged as a fundamental tool for students, artists, and professionals alike. As a staple in educational and creative environments, the Geometry Box must balance functionality with style. With SHAPE's latest introduction, the brand aimed to set a new benchmark in this essential category. By focusing on precision, usability, and design innovation, SHAPE's Geometry Box was designed to elevate the everyday experiences of its users. This new product not only met the practical needs of its audience but also enhanced their engagement with stationery through a modern, eye-catching design. In a market dominated by established players like Camlin, Classmate, and DOMS, SHAPE's new Geometry Box packaging needed to make a bold statement. These long-standing competitors possess robust brand equity and have continuously evolved to captivate their audience. The task was to develop a pack design that not only stands out among these industry giants but also resonates with the discerning Gen Z audience. The design had to be both visually striking and strategically innovative, effectively capturing the essence of SHAPE’s commitment to quality while offering a fresh and engaging look.

APPROACH & RESULT

In crafting the packaging design for SHAPE's new Geometry Box, we meticulously analyzed the competitive landscape to identify a unique positioning that aligns with the brand’s narrative while appealing to Gen Z. Our approach focused on creating packaging that embodies SHAPE's tagline, "Every stroke brings new ideas," integrating this concept into a visually engaging design. Drawing inspiration from SHAPE’s tagline, "Every stroke brings new ideas," we crafted a visual language that merges dynamic terminology—such as ideas, innovation, passion, progress, etc. —with various geometric shapes, including circles, triangles, hexagons, etc. This combination reflects the essence of precision and imagination central to the Geometry Box. To further enhance the design, we incorporated visual elements like compasses, protractors, and rulers, which are integral to the Geometry Box but presented in a fresh, contemporary manner. By blending these elements with vibrant, modern aesthetics, we crafted a packaging solution that not only stands out against established competitors but also resonates deeply with the Gen Z audience, setting a new standard in this category.
